The VGame Script Archive

What is the Archive?

The Archive is kinda like a repository for script dumps and incomplete translations for video games, except the "Repository" name was already taken. These scripts and such are intended to help aspiring game-hackers or translators.

Because I wish to beat their importance into everyone's head, here are the Guidelines:

1. Make sure you don't mind someone else working on the project. This should be common sense. If you submit somethinghere, you're saying "I don't care if someone else works on it." If someone completes a translation using info here and youlater say "Hey, I didn't want anyone else to work on that!" you've no one to blame but yourself, got it?

2. Make sure the info is useful. A stack of cryptic notes that require detailed understanding of how your mind works aren't helpful. A single, complete Hexposure TBL file is.

3. Make my life easier. Make sure your submissions are in standard formats. A RAR with notes in Microsoft Works format and WMF graphics makes Skid unhappy. Skid does irrational things when unhappy, like submit your email to one thousand mailing lists.

4. Send those submissions to wellma15(et)marshall.edu. Remember to include a full description of exactly which file is what. (Use the files already present as a guideline.)

By the same token, whenever you use info here with a translation, Credit the person who provided the original info. If your translation of Spiked Fists of Hatred VII couldn't have been done without JoeSchmoe's help, say so. (Crediting the Archive is nice but unrequired.)

I can't enforce this requirement, but use yer head: It isn't as if anyone will think less of you for saying "thanks".

March 23 2000: Bigass update. Pity it only came about by a good fellow quitting... I also have a file that I have incomplete info on.
Port Pier
I'm unsure of the company, system, and year of this game. If you've got the info, kindly email me.

Moved but not updated Mar. 24 2000 - I hate webpages with teasing cryptic messages. Shit or get off the pot.
